Residencia María Magdalena is a future project that the Bolivian foundation, Niños con Valor, has as one of its top priorities. It will be for up to 12 girls making the difficult transition from the streets of Cochabamba to a new life of hope and opportunity. Many of these girls have the additional challenge of living with HIV/AIDS in an atmosphere of discrimination. This residence will serve not only as a rehabilitation center. The program is designed to train up these same girls as they mature to obtain decent work, some who will be peer educators/counselors for other girls living on the streets.
We are currently seeking funding for the project in order to make this vision a reality.
