For what they lack in decoration, the hospital makes up in great staff.

Since there weren’t any doctors around, he was in a great mood!
I don’t remember which team brought the ‘dressing buddy’, but he has been a great friend to Guillermo- thanks!

Guillermo has spent almost half his life in the hospital for one reason or another- malnutrition, pneumonia, and now for treatment of his heart defect. He’s generally a very happy baby, loving to laugh and play, and even in the hospital he’s got a really good attitude. He very quickly had just about everyone wrapped around his finger with his waving ‘hi’ and ‘bye’ and playing peek-a-boo.

The only ones he hasn’t completely won over are the doctors. Every time the doctors come in to check on him, he starts to cry. They don’t even have to be doing anything to him, he just sees those white coats and he starts up. The doctors at this hospital have been super with him though, and Guillermo was starting to warm up to them this morning. He’s a bit of a curiosity since there are few opportunities to work with this particular condition and all the interns want to get in to see him. I’d imagine for the little guy it would be very overwhelming to have 6 doctors cram into his little room to see what’s going on with him.

He’s still scheduled for tomorrow to have the catheter put in to see how his heart is working, so keep him in your prayers as he undergoes full anesthesia.
