Merry Christmas
& Happy New Year!
Greetings from Cochabamba,

While 2016 is winding down, activities here in Cochabamba are definitely not!

In this newsletter, we share about the ending of our kids' school year, some exciting changes that are taking place in our programs, and a great way that you can support our boys and girls this Christmas season.

First, however, we want to say a big "thank you" for your prayers and support throughout this past year. We celebrated a decade of serving children a few months back, and look forward to many more years of transforming lives, one child at a time.

Peace and Blessings,

On the Homestretch
In the last two months, the children of NCV have been hard at work completing another school year. November was filled with many, many projects and exams. To keep things balanced and help with morale, activities and birthday celebrations were sprinkled in the routine. Wherever there are two or more kids, fun can happen!

School's Out for Summer!
Of course, the school year doesn't last forever (much to our kids' delight). On November 30th classes wrapped up, summer vacations arrived, and with them plenty of vacation activities and outings, a more relaxed routine, and last weekend our third charity garage sale to raise funds here in Cochabamba.

Movin' and Shakin'
As requests to accept and integrate more children living with special needs have increased, we have made two major decisions this year that we are excited to share with you.

First, our current facilities limit our ability to care for our children in the individualized manner that is so important. We are moving our girls into a large new home, and our boys will be moving in the larger home our girls have been living in for the past 10 years. The new home we obtained through a unique form of rent in Bolivia, which will save us thousands of dollars per year - so it's a big win-win situation!

Our older teens, who are 1-3 years away from moving into the Sendero de Esperanza transition home, will also have their own space in one of the homes, complete with their own living area and kitchen. This will help them gain experience on more independent living before they turn 18-years-old.

Second, we have hired a new coordinator position! Eulalia, the woman we have hired, is strengthening our own residential program, while designing a training program to work with other organizations, with the ultimate goal of having more homes capable of integrating children with special needs, including HIV.

As we continue to work towards making a nationwide impact, improving the quality of child care in residential homes and fighting against discrimination, we thank you for how your support has made this all possible :)

Alternative Christmas Gift Opportunity
We continue to be grateful for your love and support of our kids and staff. It is good to reflect on the past year and see all the blessings in the midst of growth and challenges. We hope you will consider helping us end the year strong by giving an end of year gift.

A great way you can do this is by making a donation as an alternative Christmas gift for your friends and family, and sending them an NCV Christmas card to let them know the impact their gift is having here in Bolivia. Instructions on how you can do this are available on our website. Please note orders are from a US company, and your donations should be made through our BCF donation page.

If you are a child sponsor, please consider making your support this year a "baker's dozen". If you give online, you can do this by heading over to our donation page, logging in at the top of the page, and adding a one-time $30 gift on behalf of your sponsorsd child. Sponsors who give by check can simply send in your bonus month of support to the address at the bottom of this newsletter.

Thank you, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from your Ninos con Valor Family!!!
